Oracle Developer | |||

• Proficient in database languages such as SQL and PL/SQL on Oracle (Oracle 9i/10g) • Working knowledge of Oracle development tools including Oracle Workflow Builder, Oracle Reports, and Oracle Discoverer • Strong working knowledge of Oracle standard API’s and interfaces used to import data into Oracle Applications • Basic knowledge of application systems in relation to database design, data modelling and data access methodology • Knowledge in SQL script tuning • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills along with the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language Job Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and implement a large data warehouse and data marts from multiple source systems which will provide integrated global data access across platforms • Develop and maintain ETL extractions in PL/SQL against multiple Oracle databases • Supporting on-call responsibilities |

• - Expertise in SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008 in production environment • Knowledge of windows power shell scripting and T-SQL programming • Thorough knowledge of SQL Server installation and set up options for high performance and availability • Experience working with database maintenance and application support on SQL Server/Oracle • Good hands on experience with Database Performance Optimization task at all level [Database Query / Procedure / Index-View Creation, and Database configuration changes like logging, file storage etc] • Good Trouble shooting techniques • Fundamentals of RDBMS [Like Normalization / De normalization / Logging / Transactions / Locking] • SQL Server certification would be useful • Intermediate knowledge in Oracle DBA is preferred • Very strong communication and presentation skills Job Responsibilities • Troubleshooting, Database Recovery and Database administration • Database backups and restores • Mirroring and Security management • Implementing Log shipping and Replication • Monitoring live SQL servers • Taking care of the Reporting Services / Integration Services / Analysis Services issues • Come up with pro active analysis of performance improvements, process improvements and recommend the same to the customer • Estimate timelines for tickets, database refreshes etc • Participate in managerial / executive level meetings and update the progress, improvements made. • Providing on-call support 24/7 for SQL / Oracle |
